When and where do people normally watch their anime?

I watch anime on my computer (from places like youtube and [Direct Download Site Link Removed ~Zalis], despite the bad quality) and at my school (in the anime club). This system seems to work for me, but i want to know if im missing out on anything. As an example, I've never watched anime on TV (I've never found any anime/ they were dragonball Z reruns) Can anyone tell me how they watch their anime and/or what im missing?

I'll watch anime in one of 4 places. My friends and I usually go to one another's apartments/houses once a week (different place each week) and watch anime for an hour or two, discuss it and anything else that comes to mind. This requires PURCHASING of legitimate DVD's. I do watch the occasional fansub from a bittorrent site every now and then, and only in the case of very good series will I finish the whole thing on fansubs.

Out of school, mainly on the TV in my room, and usually at night between 9pm-3am or so. Depending on the series (and the fact that I work at nights), I'll stay up as late as 6 or 7am to finish it off. At school, eh, I don't watch all that much. What I do consists of Newtype USA discs as well as a fansub or two whenever I can. I would watch the DVDs that I've bought at school, but my computer has incompability issues with DVD copy protection (my video card has a self-contained S-Video outlet, which I'm sure is the cause of all this).

Well, you are missing out on something called "DVDs" that people buy (or rent) and watch on their TVs in better quality. But rather than pursue that line of thought any further, I'm going to say that this thread is fairly similar to this one from awhile back that features people talking about and taking pictures of their anime-watching setups. Feel free to revive it.
