It is really sad ANN doesnt mention he was the first series director for the anime. Those iconic moments in the early anime were all him.

That was Tomomi Mochizuki. Tomokazu Seki (born September 8th, 1972) would've still been in high school when the first Ranma 1/2 series started airing in 1989. |

Anime original character? I thought this was supposed to be a faithful manga adaptation, but I haven't started watching yet.

Mermaid Saga and Inuyasha: The Final Act might be the only of the many Rumino adaptations that purely stick to the manga, minus omissions, with the exception being OVAs. Urusei Yatsura´s readaptation is for example more removed from the manga than the original anime. Queen of filler.

Over the years, I've occasionally gotten nostalgic for Ranma and considered going back to it. At such times, however, a single word has always risen up in my mind, causing me to put away the idea. That word...is "Happosai."
I propose a trade, anime Producers. I'll accept your original character, but in return you have to take Happosai off our hands! |
