Last year because of the Netflix live action series sparking my interest I watched the entire One Piece anime.
The title for this article intrigues me because it could be considered spoilery for someone who is only experiencing One Piece via the live action series.
I've never given much thought to ANN article titles giving away spoilers probably because I figured people who frequent this site already know the spoiler information or don't mind being spoiled.
I feel like the One Piece live action series may end up being a special case where it's a lot of people's gateway to the story and getting spoiled may become more of a concern.

It's not much of a spoiler, it's not like we even know about Vivi prior to her reveal. Granted I guess they could change things so that her personality is more consistent between the two persona's instead of her just suddenly turning into a completely different character (yes I know Vivi wasn't originally planned).

Eh, it's not like this is one of those hidden identity with long term build up or anything.
As far as the Live Action is concerned, her being Vivi will most likely be revealed the very next episode after she's introduced. And baring them adding build up that wasn't there in the original, I'm pretty sure the significance of her name being Vivi is completely contextless right up to that reveal too.

Maybe it is just me, but she looks to have the exact same eyes as Vivi.

Despite the official account introducing her as "Miss Wednesday" every comment under it is calling her Vivi and the official account is replying and doing it do so I don't think even they care. It's probably fine. The first anime opening pretty much spoils the 5 main Strawhats anyway.

A character having a first name isn't a spoiler. She's just not called it until she introduces herself. Her first name means nothing, it's not set up to be meaningful beforehand, and unless they pull a twist and reveal that she's secretly a Black Mage and this is actually another reflection of Etheirys, I don't think knowing she has a name before she tells us it will ruin anyone's experience with the series.

People speculated it was going to be a MENA actress I don't remember because I don't really watch TV or movies but that was it. But this casting has shown me there's a huge friction between Arabs and Indians giving the kinds of upset comments I'm seeing on social media about this casting.

Wait, really? I generally avoid One Piece on social media because I'm behind in the manga and anime, so I miss out on stuff like this (perhaps for the better). Why are people upset?

Cause the actress is Indian and not of Arab descent. And Alabasta is mostly based of Egyptian/Arab lore.
Since Arab actors are snubbed a lot lately, they all view this as racist. I guess.
