I loved KyoAni's Kanon! I would love to play the visual novel!

Knowing how Steam handles these kinds of games I wonder if it'll have any problems..

It was mentioned that the version that's going up on Steam isn't the 18+ version but the Switch port.
Either way, this is amazing news! I've wanted to try playing the VN at some point but figured it would never happen. I'm so glad this is happening! I do hope this English translation gets ported to consoles like the Switch, or even gets patched into the already existing Switch port in Japan, as I prefer to play my games handheld.

I'm going to buy this game to support it's release even if I don't get around to playing it. Another Game I would buy is if Shuffle! from Navel gets released on Steam again.

Well knowing the steam community I'm sure they will post some sort of patch in the games discussions forum and there is the Steam Deck for the handheld part.

I can't afford a Steam Deck, as its way too expensive for me.

^ Sorry to hear that. If Steam is still an option for you given that it's a simple visual novel, you can get yourself a cheap used laptop and do it that way (although I don't like laptops due to clunkiness and terrible built-in keyboards and trackpads). Otherwise, I guess you'll have to stick with the censored Switch version. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Also FWIW Key VNs, in general, always feel like the h-scenes are just awkwardly crammed into place and never really seem to mesh well with the rest of the game. Having played a now-ancient fan-translation of Kanon, I honestly look forward to the Steam English version to see if (as I predict), it flows better without the h-scenes awkwardly (and probably unintentionally) mucking things up.

There are cheaper ones new, but even more if used like the previous poster suggested.
