Is this going to be a short(given the nature of the manga), or are they going to be full length, with several chapters each episode?

The episodes are 30 mins each according to AT-X's program page.

Is there even enough content for that? The chapters are pretty short unless they just pad em.

This looks like a really sweet and cute show.
I almost want a full series of them old just to see if Mamiko noto and Shinichiro Miki can keep up those old people voices.
So they keep their hair grey/white when they're young, because we see them with their normal hair colors when they met in the trailer. I'm looking forward to the story of how they fell in love.
I'm guessing it's the daughter-in-law seeing that her father-in-law is super hot now?

Considering manga already ended - they probably fit enough to make a whole season.

It's mostly the granddaughters who do that, at least at the beginning. 
But yeah, it will probably be the comfiest SoL of the season, even with a good competition with YuruCamp S3

I think 30 min shows average out to about 22 minutes after you remove all the ads and what not. If you remove the opening and ending songs, you can cut off another 2 minutes off that. So with 20 minutes of content being adapted, I think they can fit plenty in that timeframe.
