I hope Netflix doesn't skip Aim to Be a Pokemon Master. I know that I could watch them all in English right now but I'd rather stick with Netflix just because they're the only one in the US releasing the dub.

I believe that season is airing on Netflix on Sept 8th according to a SDCC panel. ETA - There's also an article about it on ANN, I just missed it haha |

Thanks, I just found out about it on IGN and I was going to bring it up. It was announced at the San Diego Comic Con. Though I didn't know ANN did an article on it already. |

Voices for Liko and Roy sound fine
Friede is a bit unexpected but hey I can see it working in the long run Amethio sounds like a dweeb, so basically perfect casting lol I would say I'm disappointed they're still changing the, frankly, leagues better OST of this specific season/series for their own dollar store/public domain music, but that would require me to have had any hope in them whatsoever in this department. I recall hearing it be a money thing but when the dub music is as generic/grating as it has been in the past it doesn't leave me feeling super lenient on this end. So far at least it on the whole sounds tolerable with the voice actors doing a lot of the heavy lifting, so maybe it'll be good enough to play as background noise while I work on stuff, while I save viewings where I actually pay attention to the original version. |

Trying not to read into it too much but the whole panel felt a little weird. It was described by them as 'a behind-the-scenes look localized from its original Japanese version to one of the most popular series enjoyed by international audiences' which is kinda harmless but also kinda reads as they feel they're elevating it with their adaption and I felt like that sentiment kinda came up a couple of times during the panel. They also brought up how proud they were to keep the original intent of the Japanese version while following with a dub sneak-peek that clearly had new music.
Maybe it's my own bias but it also felt telling that they didn't take any questions - most of the panels like that at Comic-con tend to, even the Lego panel beforehand probably took 15 minutes or so of questions. I know for a fact that someone would have asked about the music or subs - I think TPCi did too. On the other hand - Crispin Freeman in Pokemon! He could have dubbed all the Horizons characters tbh. |

Fun fact is Crispin Freeman also adapted the scripts for the Pokemon anime back in the 4Kids days so it's great to see him coming back as a VA for the dub
