That's awful! I wish him a quick recovery. When Marnie was there is my favourite non Miyazaki Ghibli film.
I don't want to speculate if his heart attack had anything to do with his job but considering how this industry unfortunately rolls I can't help but suspecting it. It certainly makes me think about the sad fate of the director of my other favourite non Miyazaki Ghibli film Whisper of the Heart. And Miura of course... This just happens way too often.

Heart attacks are scary. Dad had a supremely mild one, but he still needed a short hospital stay. I hope Yonebayashi-san has as complete a recovery as Dad did.

I can't imagine a person, other than myself, who's both a basketball fan and an anime fan and hearing certain well-known individuals in those fields go through heart conditions in back-to-back days. Rest up and get well soon Bronny and Yonebayashi-san.

Hope he recovers. Arrietty is one of my personal favorites of Ghibli and something that helps me spiritually. Best wishes Hiromasa Yonebayashi.

I'm glad it seems like he's on the road to recovery.
