Our first delay of the season.
I wonder what'll be next? I hear Zom100's production has been pretty grueling.

Hmmm, hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Within 15-20 years (maybe even less), studios will be doing 6 episodes per cour. Some might be 6 1 hour episodes, but they will air every other week because they have to fill in the 12-13 weeks. There will still be long running Shonen series from Toei and Pierrot. We just had Gundam go from 25 episodes back in 2007 with Gundam 00 (there was no break in production before that in a 48 to 50 ep series), which was a surprise to us all, to 12 episodes now with Gundam Witch and Witch is the next "main" Gundam after Iron-Blooded Orphans. If Gundam is doing this then the writing is on the wall. Heck, maybe things won't be even uniform anymore and studios will do whatever they like at their own pace. Regardless, change is clearly happening again. Maybe Yugioh! VRAINS airing in May due to the issues at Gallop and couldn't fill up a full 3 year air time of a spinoff Yugioh anime that started with 5D's was the prologue (regardless of Covid eventually happening) to what the 2020's will look like.

This is a good reason I'm for halving the number of anime airing each season, it's too much to work on and now scheduling is a huge issue.

Really? The irony if that happens. An anime about black company being delayed because the studio is like a black company.

I suppose a recap 3.5 would be a little asinine.

Maybe they'll use their time to figure out how to adjust the brightness so everything isn't so blown out.

People instantly thinking it's production issues because it's delayed. lmao.
Uchi no Kaisha no Chiisai Senpai no Hanashi is also delayed a week because of the British open. Thiey both air on TV Asahi back to back.

I've always wondered why the delay. Is it just scheduling issues or something?

As others have indicated in this thread, it apparently has nothing to do with production issues in this case.
Alternate programming disruptions - usually because of sports or holiday specials, but occasionally because of natural disasters - always come up a few times a year, so it's nothing to be concerned about.
