I binge watched this show a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised by it. And while there is nothing fresh about the show's premise, I had a fun watching Chris and her friends fight the baddies. I would love another season.

P. S: The song in the OP is a banger.

This one of very few shows that I watched in Japanese language with english subtitles! Although that meant hitting the pause button a million times!

I agree with reviewer grade which was a B.

Hoping someday that it will get a english dub!

...Did they redo the animation at some point? Is this a review of a touched up home video release? Otherwise I have no idea how you wouldn't mention the animation nosedive of the later episodes.

I remember realizing their evident rationale for spending money on animation: If there are potentially bouncy boobs on screen- FUND IT!
If it's a guy talking. Move the lips up and down.
A manchild cuts Burger King's arm off? Okay, maybe a couple frames extra, but maybe try obscuring the action and don't bother using arms that bend.
Joke time? Chibi it!
Come on guys, we've got money to make and boobs that need jiggling!

I enjoyed this series, but it definitely feels like a "now go buy the LN/manga" show. Hopefully we get a second season to follow up with all these plot threads.
I would have also like to have gotten more from Chris on how he's dealt/dealing with the gender change. It mostly amounted to "I don't like guys checking me out" from what I remember, but I would have like some more depth then that.

This anime is a lot of fun and the action is decent. I agree with his C+ art rating in general, but this anime is on the horny side, and they put a lot of nice touches on the character's clothing that I really appreciated. I'd probably give the art a B- just for the outfits (their high school uniforms and dresses in particular are very nice). Chris's determination to fight everything stronger than her is fun, and knowing she will come out on top is fine in a One Punch Man kind of way. As a horny action fantasy I'd definitely say this one is above average and definitely worth a look if that's your cup of tea. My only complaint is that in a series called "Reborn to Master the Blade", there's zero attention to swordsmanship. Most of the time she's using magic or just her fists to fight, so if you, like me, were expecting some actual sword mastery you will be disappointed. It's not even an afterthought. Her first fight as a child ALMOST makes us think they might take things in that direction, but no. It's mostly her finding out how the stronger opponents are using their magic, and then using her own magic better to crush them.

This is entirely down to the English title being an iffy translation, the Japanese isn't specific, you could go for "Reborn to Master the Arts of War" or "..Military Prowess"

I quite enjoyed this, Chris's antics were the highlight of the show. Since I don't grade shows using an A-F scale (I use 1-10) I have to give this one 7.5. Well worth watching.

I think the show is fine, but this review is way too generous. I don't know if Richard watched the home video release, but the visuals that I witnessed in the broadcast version were just barely serviceable, sometimes downright ugly, and definitely not a "B" overall.

My Overall grade for this one was the same as Richard's, and for essentially the same reasons. I consider it a mid-tier fantasy title and would definitely watch more if a second season is ever animated.
