Well, in terms of debut week numbers Xenoblade Chronicles 3 sold 112,728 copies, that means FE: Engage sold 31,830 more copies. Comparing Engage with previous FE titles, Engage had the 8th best debut, the biggest debut week for a FE game still is Birthright/Conquest for the 3DS, which sold 353,201 in its first week. Still, this doesn't mean Engage had a bad debut, according to Famitsu it sold 80% of its stock, and we have to take into account the digital split.
In terms of hardware, the PS5 was actually the best-seling console of the week at 38,602 units... but if we count all Switch consoles as one the Switch sold 51,587, while the PS5 family sold 42,152. It seems Sony has improved a bit the hardware situation in Japan, but the software is somewhat worrying, there's only 4 PS games in the Top 30, the rest is entirely Switch. I don't know what game could improve the PS5 situtation in Japan, Final Fantasy XVI's preorder numbers aren't that big either

^ Only game/IP I can think of is Dragon Quest and SE puts those out on systems that have a huge install base so the next mainline entry would be Switch by that logic. Granted the DQIII remake is going to be doing gangbusters but again I think the Switch is going to be the system of choice because you don't need a PS5 for that and 4K would not improve the image a lot for a 2.5 HD game nor would a high refreash rate for a turn based game.

^ I think it is too early to talk about DQXII, the few things we know about it is that it runs on Unreal 5, it'll have a more darker and mature tone, probably changing the classic turn-based battles and Enix seems to be aiming for a worldwide release. Don't know if the Switch can handle U5, it feels like Enix wants DQXII to be their Final Fantasy VII or Persona 5 moment, something that previous games like VIII, IX and XI, despite their relative popularity, they did not manage to achieve, that is being a huge hit in the West. I can imagine DQXII releasing on the PS5/XS as a AAA game, perhaps with a port for the Switch's successor (unless SE makes a downgraded port like they did with XI on the 3DS)
As for DQIII HD-2D, I imagine it being released this year on the Switch, PS4/5 and perhaps Xbox, but in Japan the Switch version is probably going to be the best-selling version
