That was certainly bland, which is a step up from the usually embarrassing Illumination trailers. Pratt sure does sound like he's phoning it in though.

Yeaaahhh, I kinda was like meh when I heard Mario's voice.
A longer trailer may be better but I doubt it. |

Too bad this movie has Chris Pratt in it, because otherwise the rest of the cast looks solid. Hard pass.

I'm just unconvinced on the Mario voice for now, but then again, we barely heard much from him.
Looks like Jack Black will steal the show though, goddamn that was a fun performance (even with that cheesy ass transition line lol). The rest is looking gorgeous, and Luigi's portion made me want a Luigi's Mansion movie. I guess the theorists were right, the Mario Movie is indeed an isekai lol |

Looks promising. I certainly hope Nintendo coached Illumination relentlessly on this. The studio never really had a good track record. Despicable Me, at least in my view, is overrated. But, since this is Nintendo, I'll certainly give it a shot.

Not bad at all. Though i feel the trailer was much too short to really give any opinion. But I’m liking what i see.
So far I’m of the opinion that i will go watch this. |

The animation looks gorgeous and the fidelity to the game designs is amazing.
Jack Black sounds awesome. I think Chris Pratt will be...more divisive for one reason or another. |

It's an Illumination film so I'm sure it will be passable and make loads of money. Maybe they're saving the Minions crossover for a sequel.
