Holy shit, a Genshin Impact x ufotable collaboration was something I thought would only happen in dreams. I still can't believe this is actually happening!

Can we expect Fate-level fight sequences then?

HOLY FREAKIN SHIT MARY MOTHER OF GOD! Please tell me I'm dreaming, someone tell me I'm freakin dreaming goddamnit! Finally after all these years, The Lord has blessed us with an anime adaptation! I'm shaking right now, I can't wait!

Now the question is who's going to license and stream this. Rooting for Sentai Filmworks/HIDIVE because if they do, that'll send a huge statement to the big Crunchyroll monopoly.

By the trailers, we totally can expect at least Tales levels of CGI.

That CGI is better than the game, but I can't see it being this good for even a 13 episode anime (it's going to dip hard in that format), but if it's a short ONA or a movie, it will be at least close to this quality.

Seeing the long-term thing there i think we gonna get multiple seasons over the next few years its just a matter of the pacing they gonna pick like if first season gonna be just mondstadt & liyue story and 2nd season is inazuma & sumeru. Its really depends on how much of the side stories and such they would include or simply only focus on the main story and archon ones.

As for quality i believe its gonna be smth similair to the Tales series that ufotable did in the past with slight upgrade i mean genshin has tons of money they can afford to get the best of the best to work on this anime.

It's most likely Crunchyroll since Sony (and CR) shares a very good relationship with Mihoyo and CR has heavily promoted Genshin and has continuously invited them to their expo.

If Aniplex is involved, which is possibility, then it's pretty much guaranteed to go CR.

On one hand I'm not surprised they're doing it (still can't believe blizzard never tried to make an overwatch show), but on the other hand Genshin has a lot going for it, the story and writing are definitely not one of them...

It doesn't need a good story or writing to sell well. A Genshin anime is fine as something on the realm of Priconne's anime adaptation.

On the one hand, sweet! It's getting an anime! On the other, I get the feeling Aether will probably be the protag trying to find Lumine instead of the other way around which is disappointing for me at least.

No matter how the anime turns out I get the feeling the internet is going to be utterly insufferable when it drops... well more so than it can be already.

Given that the industry has been doing adaptations of mobile and gatcha games a lot, that it exists isn't surprising but that it's going to be with ufotable and a "long term" project is, it feels like it's threatening to be up there with Fate which is... quite chilling.

I'm, if nothing else and perhaps stupidly, very curious to see how this plays out. I liked Princess connect's anime and I never even heard of the game nor do I intend to touch it so it's quality as it's own thing is up in the air... we'll see I guess....

That's true, I'll just be very sad if it end up having really good animation wasted.
