It's an interesting idea, specially the fact of holding different competitions for Spanish and English. Nothing strange, as Spanish-speaking countries are on the top of users for the Manga Plus' app.

But in any case, people should notice that you're not getting paid for uploading your mangas to MPC, and even if you win, you receive an award, not a contract. Maybe, if this goes well (there is a ton of talent all around the world), Shueisha will make a Manga World Plus or something similar

So, mangas can be submitted in only Japanese, English and Spanish so far?

So, essentially, payment via exposure. Well, if you're just starting, I guess one needs the exposure to proceed.

Well, at least it's better than Tokyopop;

Terms of Service, section 20, paragraph 3;

Making sure rights stay with the creator for works the platform isn’t paying the creator for is still a good sign. Maybe this will produce some quality, with any luck.

Tokyopop's Tos basically say everything submitted to them will become their property, meaning if the platform closed you aren't allowed to put your work anywhere else (since it's no longer yours), while in MPC and Webtoon you can

Ah, yeah, thats NOT ok and is theft as far as I am concerned. Based on what was said b4 it sounded like that also applied to webtoons but glad to hear it doesn't.

Just to clarify, the above quote from the ToS was from this, Medibang's, service, and not from Tokyopop's.
