Spreadsheet updated. Fun fact: When I started it a little over three years ago, there were 24 Shousetsuka ni Narou anime on it, 11 of which had actually aired (the most recent being Shield Hero). There are now three times as many, including 22 in production and over 50 that have been released in part or full.
The funny part of all this for me is that even though the webnovel anime glut everyone's sick of is mostly a Narou anime glut, it was probably sparked by Sword Art Online, a series that predates Narou altogether and was never posted there.

So, like...Banished from the Hero's Party if it was from the Demon Lord's side?

The era of Narou novels usually starts with the popularity boom of Mahouka though, isn't it?

I love this series. Can't wait to see the girl in action, she's awesome.

Not really. But hard to explain without major spoilers.

Well, Mahouka was the most popular story on the site before it was removed, but Log Horizon beat it to both LN publication and anime adaptation, and SAO was much bigger than either. And while Mahouka's protagonist and his relationship with the female cast is certainly in keeping with later Narou titles, it's an outlier in terms of their most visible trait -- the setting.
So I tend to the interpretation that at least on the anime front, it was SAO that got the ball rolling, though the likes of KonoSuba and Re:Zero certainly helped open the floodgates.

You had me at the visual. I'm watching this as long as she's a main.
