Hey,

maybe I’m blind, but wasn’t there an option to filter news by region? Right now news from all regions are displayed for me, but many of the regions aren’t relevant to me (i.e. streaming announcements for Asian regions). I can only exclude all regional news from being displayed.

Am I missing something?

Hi Blackiris_,

Unfortunately we haven't implemented filtering by region yet (it's on the todo list).

You could change your region to one that doesn't have quite as much international news. As an international visitor, we automatically put you in the "world" locale, but if you want to limit your news to only Japan + North America, you can select the North American locale. This would remove the news from Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, India, the UK and Ireland.

Regards,

-t

At the top of the page it says "Anime News Network". Between that and the twitter bird is a box showing your current region. Click the down arrow at the right side of the box and select your desired region.

Thanks!

I wish there was an option "none", since I live in country (countries) which almost never get featured in any news here anyway.

Maybe French will be better than US&Canada for me... Razz

Edit: no, not French, since that comes with a forced language change, sigh. I guess I'll go with Southeast Asia, which fortunately (for me) seems to have very little updates.

Any way to just disable news for the Indian market?

I think all you have to do (and is really the only method) is click that button at the top next to "Anime News Network" to select whichever region you prefer. Sometimes the browser you're using or your internet settings might cause it to default to "World" or the wrong region. To ensure it defaults to the region you want, make sure your browser setting locale is what you want it to be or for example "Australia" (even if you don't live there) if you'd like the Australia edition to show up instead of the India one. Dagnabbit why isn't there a Middle Earth edition?
