This is not P5(R) for Switch and/or PC but I'll take it.

Off the top of my head, this is one of the last major modern anime fighting games that didn't have a PC release. They likely wont push the balance 2.0 patch that arcades got, so the FGC crowd might give this a snub - hard to say.

Finally, my laptop won't combust from emulating the PS3 version and I can actually play online!

Wow. I honestly thought we were never going to see Ultimax again, but I'm overjoyed to be wrong.
Hopefully the netcode is good, but having this game readily accessible on PC will be a treat even if I have to resort to something like Parsec.

Glad this came out. Hopefully Persona 3 FES is next on the list

Well heck, there it is then. What a time to be alive.
Ultimax's story itself is a little.... wobbly. But Arena's, especially Labrys' story is some top-shelf Persona.... 4.... storytelling. If you're a classic Persona fan, Labrys really took me right back to them older times.
Even though it's packaged as a visual novel with fighting game encounters and bosses, I'd say that every fan of Persona 3 and 4 should play Arena's story, as it is generally careful not to spoil the events of either P3 or P4 - Ultimax's story on the other hand, blows the lid wide open and doesn't hold back wrapping up some wild loose-ends P3 and P4 left, and while its plot contents are a bit wobbly, seeing where each individual member of the P3 and P4 cast finish their stories is definitely worth sticking around for.

Probably going to buy it on Steam. I have both on PS3, but I want to show some support to hopefully convince them it's worth doing a third. More Persona on PC is always welcome, let's get those PSP ports remastered as well as the portables like the Q games.

Kind of weird that Persona 4 wasn't ported to the Switch, or PS4 for that matter, despite the success of the PC port, but at least P4 Arena is an excellent fighting game. It's just that sometimes I don't understand Atlus' decisions, maybe there's still some exclusivity deal with Sony and P5 but I think P3 and P4 would sell well if they were ported to modern consoles
