That was to be expected, but I'm excited nonetheless.
Wasn't one of the backer rewards to name the new season? And X is the best they came up with? I guess it could be worse, but that seems like a wasted opportunity to me.

Yes, evidently the tendency toward unambitious sequel titles is not solely a problem among industry executives (see anime sequels titled with an added punctuation mark, etc.)

While I don't follow the series, I would be surprised if 2022 was the intended debut date from the start. That is, I would think that next year was the intended premiere date but the coronavirus had/has other plans.

So some fan paid a ridiculous amount of money to get to name the season....and "X" is the best they could come up with? Such a waste...I would have called it, "Dropkick On My Devil - Shameless Ploy To Fund a Third Season" or something like that.
