Man, this franchise has been so confusing lately. I heard that season 5 got to air first on CR.

I didn't even know that season 4 wasn't licensed at all.

I would hope that Funimation gets to dub this with the original cast (or the majority of it).

I think the same season-5-before-season-4 situation happened with Symphogear as well. I suspect that's just a result of different seasons having production committees that are almost identical, but with maybe 1 or 2 additional companies in the earlier season who maybe aren't paying as much attention to the property anymore, and therefore take a bit more time to approve a license.

I recall PonyCanyon being on the production committee for OVA4 so I wonder if they had some complications with getting this licensed? But I'm glad this is finally streaming though I'm surprised Crunchyroll got it and not Funimation. I still hope they can partner with Crunchyroll to dub it with as much of the original cast back as possible and as someone who's collected most of Tenchi, I hope we can get a physical release of it too. But I'm glad to just have it streaming. I also wonder what's going on with episode two of OVA5 since that's already out in Japan but it's not streaming yet.
