Now if only they'd air it in more states/cities. Insane how much California gets when so many get nothing within 500 miles.

Also odd that they added "I" to the title. Obviously implies they're gonna get the other movie that's simply titled "The Movie" by KyoAni and they'll use "II" to separate that but it's also misleading since this is a SIDE STORY (like the original Japanese title clarifies). Having a "I" implies it's a prequel to II when it's not exactly. They're unrelated stories about the same main character. Nitpicking of course but it would be nice if US companies would just use the proper titles, especially when KyoAni already gave us a perfect English title.

Maybe it's not nice to say it was a lovely film, since so few have been able to see it.

Melodramatic as all get out (not surprising, with the Violet Evergarden franchise), very sweet, with a gaping plot hole at its center. Beautiful, as one expects from Kyoani.

At my screening, the audience remained through the credits (which were translated).

Thanks for posting about this showing, I'd not have known about it otherwise.

(The person sitting next to me said they'll be at the showing of Ride your wave, tomorrow night.)
