Oooh, new Show By Rock? Awesome! I loved the first two series despite their flaws, so I'll be checking this one out, too! I am gonna miss Plasmagica, though.

Awww, it's a bummer Studio GOONEYS is not doing the CG animation for this; their style is silky smooth during the battles and rock concerts.
Hopefully there's a better job in focusing on one band than the bizarre mish-mash of multiple bands aimed at completely different audiences and NOT interacting with each other at a substantial manner. |

The website spells her name "Ruhuyu", not "Lufyu".
And no mention of the new game Show By Rock!! Fes A Live? It was announced at the same time as the new anime. |

I feel like it's important to edit the article to note that three of the members of this new band are already existing Sanrio characters! Howan is the mascot for the Sanrio Animestore, while Mashimahimeko is a Sanrio character who debuted last year, and Devilmintkiryu debuted earlier this year. All three of them were not originally SB69 characters. As for Ruhuyu, she seems to be entirely new.

I don't see that mentioned on any other news site though. Yeah, I saw something about DevilMintKiryuu earlier. And now that you mention it, I recall seeing Howan on the Sanrio shop site. Didn't know about Mashima Himeko though (not a Sanrio fan outside SB69). That explains why the characters don't really fit together very well though. They weren't designed as a group. |

I thought these were new characters, but turns out that they aren't, they look great though. I don't mind that there's a 4th season though.

Show by Rock was a fun show with cute animal girls, catchy songs, and an upbeat story. The trailer for the new season looks good and it was nice to see that the production studio is Kinema Citrus.
Show by Rock is a franchise that tries to have something for everyone with a shoujo story of personal growth for women, cute animal girls for men, and a wide range of music genres. The show did have an issue with trying to throw too many characters into the story though it was moderate compared to some of the recent anime adaptations of mobile games. |
