These delays are why I just use a VPN to watch Netflix Japan out here. I'm not waiting longer than necessary to watch a show thaf was already completed AND subtitled months and months ago.

I'm pretty sure that was known for a while already.
I wonder if the japanese tracks on non-Japanese territories will be affected as well?

I'm wondering whether or not I will even watch this, seeing as Netflix has taken their sweet ass time releasing the series. Plus, from what people have said, open ending and CG animation are 2 more strikes against this one.

This explains why they delayed the release from last November to April, but why did they change the soundtrack?

Will the new soundtrack only effect the dub version or will the new soundtrack be on the Japanese version as well? It seems strange to me to hire a Disney Channel composer for a sci-fi action anime.

For those quick to think this is Netflix pulling the 90´s anime release trick of changing soundtracks for worldwide audiences, it was Niantic themselves who declared that the release of this series was going to be for 2019, so I don´t doubt that they did this thing as well. This livestream has some details about the release, which I think it also states that they hadto fix the episodes or something, as well

For anyone wondering why the background music is getting changed for the international release, it's very likely for monetary and/or "artistic" (unlikely but still possible) reasons.
Perhaps White Bear (or whoever made the decision to change the background music) wants the opportunity to collect those sweet juicy royalties for the new score from every country outside of Japan, which is something that they can't do from simply retaining the Japanese score.
