That leads me to the question: Miyazaki drew many other manga, why ist only nausicaa translated? I own "shuna no tabi", and it's beautiful. There are tons of artbooks for his movies, i cannot imagine that his manga would not sell.

There was a (likely illegal) reprint/translation of his two-part "Age of Hydroplanes". which was where Porco Rosso appeared in a couple of issues of Monthly Model Graphix Magazine. That appeared in an issue of Antarctic Press' Mangazine in the early 90s.

I recall AP got in trouble over reprinting fanzine work without permission around that time (think it involved copyrighted characters that, while it wouldn't be a problem in Japan, was a BIG problem in the US, particularly with Viz).

I may still have the reprint in my collection, but definitely have the first of two chapters in Model Graphix.

It's interesting to see between this and the Nausicaa kabuki play that more Miyazaki titles are getting stage play adaptations lately. I wonder what other Miyazaki works could get stage plays?
