Okay the art for that Bisco series looks pretty dope.
Also what’s the difference between a bunkobon & a tankobon?

I'm really glad to see Majo no Tabitabi and Slime Taoshite ranking better than they did last year! I love them both.
Good to see 86 and JK Haru raking so well too.

Maybe I missed it browsing through the article, but how are these results determined? Judges panel? Purchase numbers? Fan polls?

Misaka still reigning queen. That's always nice.

The books are based on sells iirc but the character popularity is fan polls.

Bunko are usually a republication of Tankōbon in smaller size but thicker and printed in higher-quality paper. Also they have special bonus and may contain more content than Tankōbon.
I guess this year I lost my bet, i can't wait to read them though and for predictables "Important Announcements".

Glad to see JK Haru get some positive attention. It really is quite good. Better than most would probably expect.
Yen Press did good snatching up Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki (Jaku-chara Tomozaki-kun) and 86, looking forward to both of those.
Rust Eater looks cool, judging solely by the cover and name.

Nope. The exact method varies from year to year, but generally the rankings are based upon polls of critics, industry professionals, and hardcore fans.

Oh boy, Slime Taoshite is really that famous, then? Hoping for an anime adaptation in the future! I'm also curious if Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear is doing well or not. Anyone have any info on that?

Does anyone happen to know what Umibe no Byōin de Kanojo to Hanashita Ikutsuka no Koto is about? Just based on the cover, it looks interesting.

From its MyAnimeList profile:
Quote: | Yuna, a 15-year-old girl, started playing the world's first VRMMO. She has earned billions of yen in stocks, and confines herself in her house playing the game without going to school. Today, a major update has arrived and she obtained a non-transferable rare bear outfit. But the equipment is so embarrassing that she can't wear it even in the game. Furthermore, when she answers the survey regarding the new update and relaunches the game, she appears in and unknown forest in the bear outfit. Where is this? Email from God? A different world? If she wears the bear outfit she's a cheat, if she takes it off she's a normal girl. Her adventure starts just like that. Yuna began doing whatever she wanted. |
The artist is someone named "029 ("The Devil is a Part-Timer!" artist) and someone named "Kumano" is the writer.

Love how Index is somehow always in the rankings. Fanbase is really dedicated.
