I hate to point this out again, but there is no way this is gonna succeed outside of Japan. Look, I'm not a fan of Pokémon GO. In fact, I've never played it (I like the main series games a lot better), but there's no doubt that the reason why it became so popular was because it resonated with those who grew up playing the original games (and watched the show) when they were kids, and this was their first time getting into Pokémon again.

........It's actually quite popular in various European countries actually...they just get the short end of the stick. Wish the North America division did better promotions because it really is a very fun and entertaining franchise. I got won over because they're more bold with changing up their formula, whereas I feel like Pokemon has gotten quite stale in the overall sense.

But so far looks really good. Level 5 x GungHo x Google, sounds like a great combo. More promising than what Niantic has given us at least.

I actually should have been more clear... it's not popular in the US, UK, and Canada. In the end, Pokémon proved to be insurmountable in those countries. Not only did the games sell only 200,00-500,000 copies in the US alone, but the TV show is seen on an obscure cable channel that not a lot of people get.
