The return of the anime king! More amazing action, more killer comedy, more salt from MAL?
Sign. Me. Up.
Also the return of spyair to Gintama!

I've yet to take a look at this anime, is it really good? Do you recommend it?

I 100% recommend it. But does have a lot of episodes. If you’re ok with that then yes it will be worth watching.

I wonder if there's any chance Yoichi Fujita will return as the director... I don't think he has any project announced right now. I really think the anime took a hit after he moved from director to just supervisor.

Definitely recommend it, if you're willing to invest the time for over 350 episodes, it is a WONDERFUL anime - nothing else quite like it. It does start off a bit slow, and for the first 20-30 or so eps, you may be wondering what all the hype was about, but they are mostly to introduce the characters and the setting. Some good comedy starts when you get around the "teens". By the time you get to the Benizakura arc (the first serious arc, which starts at ep 58), you will more than likely be hooked. You become more and more attached to these characters, and you will find that this anime will make you laugh louder and cry harder than probably any other you've watched. (Often in the same episode). The serious arcs have some truly badass fighting action, too. Lots of strong characters, tons of epic comedy, and plenty of touching, heartfelt moments, too. The main character, Gintoki, is unlike any other MC you'll find, too. I can't say enough about this anime - just give it a try, and don't give up on the early eps!
Can't wait for the return in July, but I will be devastated when it is over!
