Oh wow, during the Otaku No Video kickstarter, I mentioned to Robert J Woodhead, about recommending using Kickstarter to Kenichi Sonoda.Judging by that everything, including goals, is in Japanese, and the price being in yen. This is aimed at both the American and Japanese market.

Good luck to Sonoda and power to all the people who back it. Idk, I don't think I can give $34 for a 5 minute animation with MAYBE the possibility of it being 20 minutes.

So, I asked dis dood (sonoda) at this panel if he thinks that there is an official way for Americans to write stories for japanese animations. The translator told him Whatever he thinks I said, and Sonoda was like "as this is my work, only I am intending to create the story". Sounds like he didn't understand what i was saying.

It was my impression from what he said in the panel (I was present for it) that these were going to be full-length episodes. But I'll admit that question wasn't specifically asked.

Hopefully if the Kickstarter is successful, producers will be interested in funding a series or movie.

I can't believe this is first Sonoda's work in anime since 90s.

I just donated my money into this! I really hope that people donate money to this kickstarter because I have been waiting forever for this!!! Sadly the current gen of anime & manga fans are more into Shonen and Moe anime. The market for serious adult action anime is not the same as it once was 20-25 years ago.
