So it's pretty much a 2 cour then. Expected but nice to see.
The 6 mins revealed earlier today also looked like this will be a nice production so far. |

Only two episodes per volume? That sounds like extortion. Guess it depends on how much they charge, but damn.

Yeah this is unfortunately common practice in Japan. This might actually be the same format it gets released in the West because Aniplex. Another possibility is getting six volumes with four episodes per volume. I wish Funimation would/could release this in the states, I'd take two volumes of twelve episodes per volume over Aniplex. I guess we'll have to see how things turn out. |

And with Aniplex licensing the it, like SAO, I will not be able to afford to own this series.

It is not common practice in Japan to release 2 cour series at 2 episodes per disc. The vast majority of 2 cour series are released in 8 or 9 volumes, with a small number at 4 episodes per volume. Ancient Magus' Bride is being released in 6 episodes x 4. 12 disc releases are now pretty uncommon, so this is greedier than usual. And there is no chance it will be released at 2 episodes per disc in the US. |

That’s true. Aniplex has been favoring 2 releases per series of late, usually at 6 episodes per volume of single cour shows like Blue Exorcist Kyoto Arc, and 11-12 episodes per volume of 2 cour shows like March Comes in like a Lion. The last time I recall (I could be wrong) Aniplex splitting up a show into a bunch of pieces was Kill la Kill with 5 bluray volumes, but most of those are out of print according to Rightstuf. I think I might just give up on KLK at this point and import from the UK. |

Well they gotta make a profit somehow right? Making anime isn't cheap its cost like $100,000 per episode if I remember from an article I read on here a couple years back so the prices for Bluray/DVD are justified. Now Aniplex of America releasing years old stuff for $300 not THAT is extortion. |

I wrote an import guide for Ufotable's Fate/Stay Night, but it works for any Aniplex USA release. DVD and Blu-ray import guide |

Yea, I bought an all-region bluray player on ebay a year ago for like $90, and I've imported several shows from Amazon UK, such as Berserk 1997 on BD, A Silent Voice, and Gurren Lagann. I'm really broke at the moment, and buying all 3 volumes of KLK from amazon UK would cost me upwards of $100. I'll get them one of these days. |

Sigh it looks like it's going to be another Persona 4 catastrophe. But I have to admit I loved what they did with the Crow and Joker exchange at the beginning...hehe that was badass.
