To be technical, I think "worldwide" would imply most countries or territories. Sometimes an anime con has the premiere of an anime movie or first 2-3 episodes of an anime series yet the term "world premiere" might be used in articles about the event. So, I think "Children of Whales Anime's non-Japanese World Premiere Listed for March 13" would be more accurate.

Not as quick as would be desirable, but at least it’s being released more quickly than Kakegurui, relative to the finale date.

Cool will definitely check it out. Wonder if Netflix is trying to space their anime releases out. B the beginning, AICO and Sword Gai are close to it aren't they?

The first 4 episodes dubbed appeared on illegal streaming website which made me confused since it hasn't appeared on Netflix yet. And there was no date listed on Netflix yet....

That's annoying. It's even more annoying that Netflix doesn't seem to announce most of these until either really late, or at all, leaving it up to the official show's site, or some other outlet to make the announcement for them.
At least we've got several weeks of advance notice this time.

I've been excited for Children of Whales since the first trailer came out so I'm glad to see a release date finally announced for this series.

Heck yeah!! That's the beginning of my spring break so I'll be able to binge it as soon as it comes out. Kinda wish it was a bit earlier but at least it's conveniently timed for me.

The English dub for the show has already been produced and released early on Netflix Japan (hence the early leak on illegal sites)

Without spoiling anything, don't get your hopes up. This is NOT a good show. It had tons of potential but wasted it all. If you don't like angst stay away.

The show was barely passable. I do wonder though, is the manga better? I feel like it was the fault of the adaptation, not the source material.
And seriously, what is up with JC Staff at the moment? They hit their stride with Flying Witch, then kinda slipped with Alice and Zoroku and this show.

Its a troubled show, but it isn't bad. I like many parts of it. Where a future season goes will determine if some of the risks pay off.
It feels like the end of the season is more of the middle of the season, and the mid-season pacing was fiendishly poor. I could go into more depth, but I still like it after coming off of it.

Netflix=good at getting more recent anime titles dubbed more quickly but not soon enough. Like I and other people have said various times, many subscribers like the weekly simulcast approach. Also, NF should start streaming the 1st Eng. simuldub episode at least the same week as the 3rd subbed episode. However, I can see this not being done since many L.A. recording studios lacking such resources whereas Funi does have said resources.

This was a series I was excited for since I saw the first trailer for it so I'll be disappointed if it doesn't live up to the hype after Netflix made us wait this long.

It seemed like initial impressions were good, but that rating for it on MAL is... not particularly flattering.
I guess I'll see for myself soon enough.
