He’s been in quite a few actually. Probably the most notable was when he played the mutual crush of Alexis Tipton’s character in ReLIFE.

Okay, I've been looking forward to PTE but haven't seen the Japanese version, why in the world would there be two voices for each of the two girls?

It's almost like you're expecting Pop Team Epic to make sense.

Katana Maidens is shaping up to be one of my favorite shows this season, but I recognize that it isn't exactly the most popular show in the US, which is why I'm very glad that Funimation is going to give it a dub - a considerable investment / vote of confidence, given that its second coeur has already been announced.

To give a more straightforward answer, in half of each episode, the characters are played by male voice actors and in the other half, they are played by female voice actors.

I so want to see one of the dub cast tweet something to the effect of "After a session of "Pop Team Epic", not even having a drink will clear my mind of trying to understand that show".

Save for the dub where Popuko is played by Justin Briner for some reason.

The dub of the first episode was pretty good imo.

Not always. In episode 1 Popuko had male voice actors in both halves (Masashi Ebara and Yuuji Mitsuya).
