This is neat and I am sure Detective Conan fans are going to enjoy going through this book. I kind of want it myself as I am curious how Gosho writes Detective Conan. Plus the artwork contributed looks amazing. Speaking of which does anyone know who these two are? I never seen them in Detective Conan before. They must appear very late in the story.

I'm pretty sure that's his main characters from a previous manga he did called Yaiba.

Yeah that's Yaiba and he did appear in one of the OVAs I think the episode was called Conan vs Kid vs Yaiba.

That's correct. I guess Aoyama wanted to feature Yaiba in the book too. It had a successful run as well as an anime and a couple of video games here and there.

Well, unlike what ANN writes in the headline, it is a book to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Aoyama's career as mangaka and not a Detective Conan specific book, so of course there would also be tribute art of his other series included.

A bit late but as was said already the boy is Yaiba, the girl is Sayaka who he lives with in the series (and her family obviously).
And it only makes sense that Yaiba would be in it considering it's really Gosho Aoyama's 30th anniversary, not so much Conan (considering it literally turned 20 three years ago).
Nitpicks aside I'm really excited for this. There's an excellent list of mangaka we got here.
