Heh, *of course* they romanised the names differently than the official LN localisation. Sigh.
Still looks cheap, but I suppose I shouldn't expect much from a studio that spent the better part of the last decade doing only subcontracting work and is just getting back into doing their own shows.

We sent them a glossary of name spellings a few months ago at their request, too.

Nope, still too vapid for me to watch. The MC looks like his IQ matches his age; that's a horrible key visual and the animation and events look nothing special too.

No. Ok, that's too short.
There are two common sources of "inspiration" for Light Novels and manga: Common trends and popular new devices. This series is so lazy that not only did they combine these two sources for ideas as its premise but then they used that combination for its title.
I don't know if I should be more impressed or depressed.

I haven't gotten into the novels yet, but I guess I'll check out the anime just to see more of what's it's about.
I had a feeling the visuals won't be anything worth talking about. Then again, I think the production team deserves a chance. It's okay if it's not good, but I hope it won't be boring.

"In Another World with My Smartphone," huh? Looking at the title, it sounds like a day in the life of an ordinary person in 2017.
Really though, how is this supposed to work? If he's in a fantasy realm, he'd have no phone signal, no GPS, and no Internet. Also, unless he also gets to keep his solar charger, no way to replenish its battery. He'd be stuck with whatever apps he has that doesn't need any external system to operate.

Maybe one scene's animation was marginally better than the last pv - I think I'm being very generous giving it that much - but it still seems very flat. I may check out the LN to see if the story is worthwhile at least, but I don't have high hopes for this show.

I will have to read some of the LN before watching the anime. However, even with J-Novel releasing them in chunks, it's hard for me to not skim read it considering LN chapters are often super long.

I'll post here as well: Please ignore the spellings of the names in the PV. I've confirmed with the rights holders that our English name spellings are the officials ones for the franchise.

Don't take it too seriously.
Basically, the main draw IIRC is how the phone is now powered by magic. With help from God, he can still use his apps and stuff (including maps!). He can also surf websites from his own world and catch up with news there, but he just can't return so it isn't exactly relevant.
In other words, God is his main service provider. (God, this sentence sounds deep for some reason.)
Anyway, again, I'm personally looking forward to it. I always wanna see small animation studios succeed after all.

Heh, I see. I had a feeling the story would account for the fact that a smartphone would need a lot of external systems that wouldn't really exist in a fantasy realm.
Can he reply back to messages from his own world? That is, can he use his phone as a means to keep in contact? (I take it that he can't.)
