Why on Earth does the 3DS version look like something from the SNES... Was it so hard to make it like the 3DS ports of VII and VIII?

If i recall correctly from a press event a few months back the 3ds version puts a snes style 2d view on the bottom screen while the top shows a 3d environment. It seemed like a pretty neat compromise to me.

Surely you've seen the 3D mode of 3DS version in that very same trailer.

It shows how big a deal Dragon Quest is in Japan when they can do a special edition with both 3DS and PS4 versions in the same box.

^ Does it? The PS4 and 3DS are the best home and handheld systems in Japan. It makes sense regardless.
Also, HxH fans are despairing right now.

They didn't mention anything about the Switch version at all. I wonder if that means it's not gonna make 2017?
