Why does this taste like "The Ancient Magus Bride"? Oh yeah that's also based on celtic lore as well. "fairy circles, or rings" do exist. You can usually see them in mowed lawns and playing fields. They are basically fungus that grow in a sort of ring pattern which is more dense, or airated depending on type (there are three) for the grass roots to grow quicker or not at all. The toadstools that appear during a wet Autumn and winter, are not edible. I have a type 2 ring in my back garden, but it doesn't bother me.

I just saw this on Rightstuf not too long ago and thought the art style was pretty intriguing and gothic. And from the review, the story definitely seems interesting. Though I find it odd that the other characters besides the main lacking facial detail is a negative, as from the reviewer's words it seems like an entirely intentional stylistic choice to compliment the tone of the book. I might buy this the next time I'm at the bookstore, it sounds good.
