Writes a light novel about an elementary schoolgirl. Looks like he's been caught loitering near a few in his time.

Are they sure Creepy Man isn't really just his name tag?

I don't think judging one's appearance is appropriate....

but....

Combining his otaku look and LN illustrations he carried, it is hard for normal Japanese people to NOT to raise some eyebrows, even if the LN itself is pretty harmless.

Yeah, this self-promotion is not gonna end well, both author and his creations.

I for one hope this help him sell a lot of volumes. He's doing his best and I think it takes guts to do what he's doing, especially in Japan. Good on you, Creepy-man.

Don't want to be a bit mean here but he looked like Mr.Bean.

Well, putting that aside, I'll loved how the illustrations looked and hope that he can garnered great sales too. Really, a good spirited and brave guy.

First I had trouble finding this 'Kimoi Man', but it eventually dawned that the correct title is 'Kimoiman'. Searching with that instead lets you find it on the usual retailers.

Kudos to him for being so brave. Smile

If I ever come across an author coming out of their way to promote their work, I'll have definitely read it.

I actually went into my local Barnes and Nobles one day, and saw that there was an author standing near the store entrance inside. He had beside him a large pile of his latest horror novel, and was asking people to take a look and that he would autograph any copy purchased. I went back two hours later to find he had sold only a single copy, and looked completely bummed.

As someone who aspires to be a writer, I couldn't help but feel sympathetic. But, we all need to pay our dues. I did purchase a copy, though.

This. I agree with this. I don't think it's the best way of doing things, but he's surely earned my respect.

The premise sounds like a solid recipe for comedy.

Hey, at least the title is short.
Not like long title "I am a creepyman who was bullied at school but I saved an elementary kid and she suggested me to become a superhero"

When a LN author does these self-promotions, this is the opportunity to ask them if a fan can do a translation of a LN. Since fan translations often are copyright infringement, the creators or publishing approving it (and you regularly keeping in contact with them about how your end of the agreement is doing) is not.
