The return of CCS! Damn...in 2018. Bonus is that the cast is returning and MADHOUSE. Can't wait.

Can't say that we didn't see this coming, but lets hope there is a little more effort put into this than the first season(s) of Crystal. The fact that it's a sequel series means that at least it won't be a complete retread.

Awesome. I've been reading the Clear Card Arc. I'll definitely be there day one for the anime.

What is the expected length of episodes judging by the manga chapters?

And yeah, it would be fun seeing Cardcaptor Sakura in modern animation style.

Why did they have to announce this when we're still not even in 2017 yet I don't think that I can wait until 2018 for more CCS. Very Happy

I assume they will probably air the original show first to get newcomers interested.

Last I heard that's already been going on. They're at episode 30 something at this point. Likely the timing involved is related to re-airing that series in whole.

Well that certainly gives us something to look forward to for quite a while! I wonder if it will adapt the new arc to fit the first anime's chronology? That series was a masterful work of art in its own right. With the same studio, director, and cast returning, Cardcaptor Sakura fans needn't fret too much about the new series living up to expectations.

It helps that Madhouse has been on a roll lately, with smart adaptations and well-received hits like Hunter x Hunter and One Punch Man to its name.

Don't worry, it's Madhouse, meaning it'll atleast look very good. Crystal was Toei, whose animation quality is pretty questionable for anything other than Precure Laughing

on a more related note mY CHILDHOOD IS RETURNING ;w;

Still need to finish this series someday. I've been stuck at episode 20 for... about 2 years now, I think.
