Pokemon has had a sad history of natural and human disasters always interfering in something, usually the anime. Porygon's famous epileptic flash, Wiscash's earthquake happening just before an actual earthquake, then March 11th changing the entire direction of the Best Wish anime, and even XY's sunken ship episode being postponed due to the deadly Korean shipwreck that killed hundreds of young boys and girls in the area...
Thankfully, this wasn't a deadly incident. My ex lives in the area, so I'm mostly just relieved that things were calm. |

It seems that every Pokémon episode or event has been aborted due to a natural disaster and never aired after the fact (save for the episode featuring a sunken ship). In any case, thank goodness that no casualties have resulted from this Magnitude 7 earthquake.
