Flying Witch was one of my favorite shows of last year so the premium edition is a definite day one cop for me. Jury's still out on if I'll watch it dubbed though. The clip was fine, but not really enough for me to check out the other track. Even so I'll still more than likely give it a shot.

Don't wanna be nitpicky, but the trailer said November.

It sounds better than what I expected.

Almost sounds like one of those parody dubs.

The kind that get remembered years later or the kind that get hired by smaller companies to dub actual shows? No, I'm thinking of gag dubs and abridged series... not really sure what a parody dub is. Is it anything like an ironic dub like Guin Saga?
Gibbs and Simmons were great, I'm not so much sold on Wittels. However, it's not the best clip to go by since Simmons stole the entire scene even if she was in the background. But considering the character and the show, Makoto can't be that strong anyway so it's something of a quandary.

Shannon Reed has stepped in to try to fill the directing void left by Chris Ayres's current absence from the dubbing world but Shannon just isn't a impressive director. Its a shame that Steven Foster is no longer directing because this would of been the perfect time to bring in a experienced ADR Director like Foster to breathe some presence back into Houston dubbing.

After the madness known as the HOTD dub I don't want to hear Foster direct jack.

For those that are not in the know, Chris has been dealing with family and health problems (I am 1 of his FB friends).

Kadmos: Sorry for him. Hope things improve for him. But at least he's still getting paid.

I haven't seen the original, but going by the way they are animated, it looks like they are supposed to be talking like that. In the case of Adam Gibbs, from everything I've seen in him so far, that bored sounding voice, is just how he sounds naturally.

The Japanese version has this cheerful tone when they speak, like everything is interesting and fun. This preview falls short on that and fails in fully expressing the charm point of the show. For me, it sounds so deadpan that I can imagine the actors reading the script inside the studio and that's a big no no for me.
Unfortunately, it's just a bad dub for me. But i'll still give episode 1 a try when it comes out.

I've never heard Chaney Moore in anything she's been in. All I remember is that the dub for When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace was atrocious. Stephanie made a pretty decent Megumi in School Lives, but it feels like she's phoning it in here.
Juliet's fine.
