Was not a fan of G-Reco at all honestly, but its nice to see it come West none the less for those that do like it.

Will pick both of these up, but it's really a shame they aren't dubbing either of them, especially G-Reco since it's so new (and I kind of expected old V Gundam wouldn't get one).

It had plenty of flaws but the rapid-fire dialogue might have been a more fun watch in dub form.

I enjoyed the first half of G-Reco but found the second half to be pretty boring. I doubt I'd be willing to purchase it. But If I had to say one positive thing, the mech designs were awesome.

I love V and I'm slightly surprised Tomino allowed them to license it since he hates it so much. I'll get it for sure.

i really want to get these but i want them with the dub which they said they might do if it was popular enough. i really don't want to buy the subs only ver just to have them release a dubbed version later.

This is pretty much your ONLY chance. People don't get it, if people don't buy the sub releases. Why would they waste hundreds of thousands of dollars dubbing old shows that no one will buy to justify the massive cost?

And people wonder why they don't get dubbed.

Gundam is popular, but very niche. With a fanbase that has proven that they will not buy enough releases, even dubbed to make it work for the publisher. Bandai dubbed about everything and it landed them in the toilet.

Releasing the two worst gundam series before Wing? How is this a good idea?

They seem to be going in order of release(The newest shows not withstanding.). If I had to guess, November will be F91 and Victory Gundam Collection 2, followed by G Gundam Collection One and maybe 08th MS Team Complete Series in December.

some people don't have the money to buy a copy of the sub only and then a copy with the dubs so they hold out for the dubs.

Which unfortunately requires people to buy the subs.

Ya know, this has got me thinking, why don't they just kickstart the dubs? It's been done, what, two, three times now? Successfully I might add. More shows get dubbed and the company doing the dubbing doesn't have to pay a dime of their own money. It's a win-win for everyone honestly.

Evidently, Tomino doesn't hate them quite as much as the still-banned-outside-of-Japan episode 15 of the original Gundam!

I really hope G Reco doesn't give a bad impression of the Gundam franchise for the newcomers.

I'm worried.

Releasing G Gundam this soon would be a bad idea because the recently-announced Japanese Blu-ray Boxes are coming out in September & November. I personally hope they skip it for now and go straight to Wing while waiting until Japan is over their reverse importation fears so as to avoid more DVD-only nonsense with G like Turn A had with those releases.

Nice to see that these releases have French subtitles. Almost never see that from US anime companies.

I think it's more following the BD releases in Japan (though I supposed DVDs could come out sooner) giving a little over a year before they come out here.

Based on that, I would guess Victory 2 in Dec, 08th MS Team a month or two after that, 0083 a few months after that and G Gundam towards the end of 2017, maybe even beginning of 2018.

Wing should be the next series after that, but since Japan seems to be skipping around every once in a while (still waiting on 0080 and 08th MS team should have been after Wing), who can say. G is currently the furthest series out available for preorder.

I'd also guess IBO will come out fall 2017, though if it's popular enough, it could be held back. Unless they release two half season sets, but so far that'd be a first for Right Stuf's Gundam releases.
