Way back when Seven Seas announced they were venturing into tabletop games, I joked with some friends about how they'd make a miniatures game based off Strike Witches.
I clearly have a dark power I should use more cautiously.

Let us hope that this child company is far less sleezy and dubious than it's parent (I refer primarily to Ninja Division). As someone who does large amounts of miniature work, I can hope that the Strike witches game is a common scale (28mm would probably be best, for detail and commonality of terrain), and that Ninja Divisions asinine policy with people running their game at conventions doesn't make it to Shinobi 7, else no one would want to publicize that they have it available for play. I severely doubt anyone would want to pay 15K for a license to simply run the game at conventions, without any prizes, support, or sets. I also hope that they hire a different batch of writers for these games, as most of Ninja Division's writers either are utterly hopeless, or listen to their playtesters only to do the opposite of what the playtesters requested. However, their sculpts are fairly good, and honestly are much of why people buy their largely uninspired games in my experience (Tentacle Bento, Karate Fight, Relic Knights, and Takoshi University seem to have a lot more collectors and painters interested than players. Certainly I didn't see anyone but them running even so much as demo games, although their policy on running it at conventions might have helped with that) Not to mention that a division focused on anime/manga/Japanese culture seems almost redundant, as most of their games are very much Ecchi anime knockoffs, or otherwise marketed largely on the anime stylings.

If they do do a miniature game based off of Strike Witches, 28mm would be best. That is a common scale used in wargaming. If you wanted to do a diorama or collection, you could have a combined arms group supporting your witches. If they add Armor/Land Witches later, you could really create scenes from some of the doujin.

If the sculpts for the Strike Witches miniatures are as good as the Super Dungeon Explore ones, I could care less for game play. Yeah, it would be great bonus, but I really have no one to play with. My collection of Risk games are gathering dust.
