I hope so! I was one of the lucky ones to get my order in within the first ten or so minutes, so mine's reserved. But I hope that more get made, so more people have a chance to grab it, as this looks like one of the rare collector's editions that's being done right.

I sure hope so. Even though I started the preorder literally the second it became available, they had so much site traffic that the final step took too long to verify and then they sold out before it completed. I'm on the "priority wait list", but I'm all for anything that increases my chances of getting one

Well if they manage to make any more, they need to bundle them as PS4 editions and offer them on the Europe store first since their store didn't go live with ANY copies until 40 minutes later and all the PS4 copies were sold out. I was in the Twitch chat and there were a LOT of upset people from Europe. If it wasn't that their store was completely down, the item just wasn't there.
I looked myself to confirm it. I, myself, wasn't going to pay that much for it. I'm not into the Figures and I knew that's what drove up the price. I love artbooks and soundtracks but the figure was meh... and that maid the price too steep... ...and really I like the art on the Deluxe Edition better.

Am I the only one that finds the sudden marketing push and commercialism surrounding this game more than a little off putting and worrisome as to what the final product is going to be. It seems every time these companies try to whip people up into a blood frenzy over these things with ultra premium priced packages and a bunch of extra shit I personally at least figure is a bunch of window dressing the end core product ends up suffering massively for it. I just kind of want the game to be good and rekindle my love of console FF titles, I just don't care about all of this other shit they're trying to tie-in with it until I can confirm that's the case. After that and if I really like the game maybe I'll worry about movies or anime or clothing lines or whatever.
Anyway it feels like I'm the only one that feels this way and like going "Whoa hold on a minute what are you actually trying to sell me here for real all bullshit aside". 
It's not out for another six months what are you even talking about at all? Despite what hate for Yaoi characters even? Your comment makes literally no sense dude. |

This game has, technically, been around for 10 years from start to finish. This is really the first major collector's edition for a main Final Fantasy game and it's adding stuff they'll produce anyway only in variations. ...The main driving force behind this particular high price collector's edition is the $150 apx action figure...so really..the rest of its not too absurd if you think about it. The other stuff is, I see, is stuff they want to add but realize we may get irritated if they announce post-release of the game considering we've waited 10 years for the game itself so they allowed other teams, animation teams, to help with the "fan pandering" as I call it. |

Yaoi is a genre, not a type of character. If you do not know that, you probably don't even know what it is and are mistaken for what you are saying. You're probably looking for the word for "Pretty boy" which is "Bishonen"; and yes, some people have issue with them being pretty but who the crap cares, it's a video game. |

SE just announced they want to produce more of Ultimate Collector, the pre-order for Ultimate Collector basically sold out fast, so its selling well.
Calling bishounen is pretty useless because they rather prefer other word than that, to them bishounen is automatically yaoi/gay. |

No it isn't automatically gay. He's on his way to meet with the girl. That has dropped from information from the voice actors of the CG movie. The voice actor of Luna stated that it's the story of what's going on there as Noctis is on his way to marry her. I'm a yaoi fangirl btw with loads of Doujinshi actually purchased and in my collection and I don't see them "yaoi characters" because they chose to tell a story about a Prince and his servants/friends. I'm sorry if it doesn't make sense to you from the information that we've been given from the game, but from what I've gathered, a Prince wouldn't just have a whole load of friends, much less a while load of close female friends when he is betroved...and much less trying to lay low and assumed to be dead. Please go read every thing about a game for 10 years and wait for it to come out and get back to me when yo u want to argue on the validity of why they chose not to have a female battle member.... like that makes a game any better....seriously. We want a game to be good that's all. And there have be thousands of bishonen characters in anime, Manga, and video games, and a great majority of them are not gay. I have no idea what you have been reading or watching but perhaps you need to get out of the adult section of the Internet and off of 4chan. |

It's pretty pricey, even for an ultimate edition, but hey, it's Final Fantasy. Anyway, I hope they put out some more.

I wonder how many preorders were actually placed above the 30,000 (per system?) allotment. I'm guessing that number was so strong that that is exactly why they're considering making more (guaranteed profit). I'm feeling much more confident that I'll actually get one now though.
