It's a fathom event, so I'm really, really hoping it'll come to my local theater this time! They showed it in KC last time but I wasn't up to driving out there again having just seen Love Live there the week before.

Maybe I can convince my husband to have us go see it.
We've been talking about going to a movie theater but there hasn't been any films worth seeing. So maybe we can make seeing this a date night.
Well... if any of the theaters around here actually carry it I should say.

I hope florida gets it this time. Was really surprising it didn't get any for the first showing.

So, I assume this is one of those spoilers-galore "do not watch this if you're not caught up with the series" movies? I'd be cool to catch this in theaters, but I'm way behind on Naruto and there's no way I could realistically catch up in two weeks, though do I already know some of the end-series spoilers.

It'll definitely spoil you regarding who's alive / dead & where people end up. The villain in the film is connected to the final villain of the manga but the purpose of the movie felt more about seeing where everyone is x number of years later, with Boruto being front and center. While it delivered some really cool action, plot-wise, the story surrounding the villain was maybe a quarter of the film. My friend wasn't caught up and wasn't lost at all.
In short, do you have to finish the manga to enjoy this film? No. Will there be spoilers and small things you may miss? Yes. But if that doesn't bother you, go see it in theaters! I saw this 3 times and seeing it with a crowd of people made it way more enjoyable.

I would actually rather have a filler ending for Shippuden than for such a movie to be have been released. Even though it's been over a year since the main manga ended, I still am a NaruSaku fan. However, compared to the thing that is SasuSaku, I am more fine with NaruHina.
I actually wish Madara was the final villain. While Kaguya was definitely the strongest villain for the main series, Madara had more character development. So, he's stronger than Kaguya in that.
