"Drink" too deeply?
...I would've figured something like a glass of black label would help numb the pain when watching something like this. :X |

I really tried to get into this show, but after half of the first episode I gave up. Even without seeing the rest of the series, I can say that this is the worst show of the season.

It's really too bad that Ano Hana isn't streaming anywhere. Would much prefer a review on that than something like this.

I tried the first episode, and as much as I like full figured anime characters, I couldn't even bare to watch any more.
On a positive note, I really like how the contributors are writing reviews for the streaming anime now. It's nice to see reviews for the first 6 or 7 episodes of a series. Carl does a great job at this and every season I look forward to his reviews. Not to get too off topic but, the simulcasts and streaming anime still amazes me. I got into anime when I was downloading fansubs from IRC and trading CDs with fellow anime fans through the mail. Then came online media and then Bit Torrent. Then when HD versions of the shows came out we were all getting the episodes from BT. Now we have 480p streaming anime either a few days or only a week after the Japanese broadcast, it's pretty amazing how far we've come. It's just a click of a mouse and we have HD anime streaming 24/7. |

Oh yeah! Thank you, Yoshimoto-san! Then episode 8 happened which kind of surprised me. |

What is wrong with a little mindless fun? It amuses me greatly to see the japanese have no problem whatsoever portraying the founders of modern japan as girls with ample attributes, I do not think that would be the case in any country in america.

You don't think Mexico would go for Hidalgo, Morelos, and Iturbide as fierce but cute girls?

Shows like this one prove everything Japan gets isn't always great. Some shit should stay there.

I suffered through 5 episodes of this series with only two general expectations: cool fights, and yuri-antics. By episode 5, neither was fulfilled. Waste. Of. Time.
I might check out ep 7 though, since it seems that's where some kind of yuri happens, but it sounds like it only hints at it. *sigh* |

When hell freezes over AND pigs fly. That does not mean some private entrepreneur might attempt it, but the political left will no doubt ask to strip anyone involved is such a project of their citizenship and the political right would probably ban its projection in television. In the end all we got was this -_-; |

I take it you're not watching A Bridge to the Starry Sky? Feels like a slice of life Ookamikakushi. |

I get the feeling that this show could have just been called What Was the Point: The Animated Series. I suppose they never came up with a good answer to the question, "how the Hell do we make a story out of a pachinko game?"
It would be fun to see more shows that switch the genders of historical figures. The American revolution and early republic is a perfect candidate. Thomas(ina?) Jefferson's affair with Sally Hemmings could satisfy the yuri fans and for everybody else: Benjamin(a?) Franklin fanservice. Invented the 'lightning rod' indeed. Yeah, and we could also add some evil aliens [with tentacles] who tried to stop him from discovering electricity while at it.
