Wouldn't that be announced as something related to the musical from the get-go? Also, wouldn't they wait until the last showing of this Myu (around October 4) to announce that?
I mean, it could be, but it seems unlikely? But maybe it is, and that will be disappointing.

This is where my mind immediately went. They could easily adapt the series into one or a couple of films. (since the series is 16 chapters it would probably be too long for a 13 episode anime and too short for a 24 episode one...)
The only other possibilities I can think of are a video game or some other kind of merchandise. I tend to agree that the announcement of a new musical would probably be tied to a news post about the current musical (also I'm pretty sure a new musical next year is a given at this point).
Either way I'm excited (though watch it be something minor orz.)

Speaking of games, didn't Tak Miyazoe from Bandai Namco months back state in an IGN article that if there was enough demand for it, the company could push for the development a new Sailor Moon game? I mean the chances seem iffy to me personally, but who knows?
EDIT: Oh wait! That was Gamespot article, not IGN.
