Netflix, please simulcast stuff! Here they have the rights to delaycast episodes within a week of release, and they just won't do it outside of Japan. I guess we should be happy that they're doing an international release at all.

ANN's encyclopedia entry of the TV anime (anime#17676) lists it as a compilation of the movies, which I hope it isn't the case.

It is true. There will be a film trilogy and TV adaptation. The difference in length between 3 movies and 13 episode series is rather miniscule, though I can't help but wonder what the point of two formats will be.

I believe it was announced that the TV adapation will have additional scenes included that the movies won't have.

Added scenes and a way for them to make more money(am guessing the Netflix deal was a big reason for the TV version of it.)

This is basically Sidonia. A TV season and then a recap movie. And the initial announcement of it being a trilogy of movies basically guarantees three seasons of the TV show. Much like Sidonia(which was confirmed to be in planning for a final 3rd season).

Wait I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any news about 3rd season?

Yeah, where'd you hear that? I would love if it happened, but I haven't seen anything on a 3rd season. Confused

So pretty much like Break Blade then?

It is nice to know the scheduled length for shows. For the manga translation, Kodansha USA is up to date since there release of the 6th vol. last month was just over 2 months after the 6th Japanese vol. was released.
