The Kurain Kingdom must rela e to Maya in some way. Maybe she's why Phoenix went to Kurain Kingdom. In really want Maya to be in this game.

Well I could assume it's because she's not as popular as the fanbase makes her out to be. But I'll make the more reasonable assumption that contextually they've had no reason to use her the last two games along with the belief that originally the 2nd trilogy wasn't going to use Gen 1 characters. |

After the release of the fifth game, she was still one of the top five most popular characters in the series, and she remains one of the most promoted characters for advertisements and related franchise media... aside Phoenix and Edgeworth, of course. I'm really glad Apollo is gonna be back and heavily featured (presumably, anyhow). I honestly would have rather the fourth game been handled a wee bit differently in its closure for Phoenix, and really paved the way for Apollo. But, well, here we are. His final line and the last image (butterfly with a silhouette, perhaps of a woman) are interesting. I can't really think of who it could be, unless Yamazaki et al are pulling some ridiculous stunt with one of the characters. |

I believe Maya could be back for this entry of the series. It seems natural in a way that they wouldn't reveal her right away, as it should be a strong element to build hype later on, and given the more supernatural-focused ambiance of the new setting and game mechanics, I feel as though our favorite medium will be back in some way or another.

Agreed. I also believe that to some relation, the reason Phoenix is going to this new country is going to be related to Maya or the Fey clan. I'm sure the creators are very aware of the fact that they're using a spirit medium theme and aren't ignoring the channelling technique that had such a large role in the trilogy. If I had to take a guess, I would say that Maya's actually been in this country for training all these years she's been gone and that something urgent has made Phoenix need to go and see her. I can assure you this will be related to Maya somehow because if it's not, then that's a hugely missed opportunity on Capcom's part, it'd be stupid. |
