Good for her, I guess.

Don't we all.
I hope that Matsumura-san is eventually able to break into the anime industry.

As long as she doesn't suck like that chick who voices Kagami's sister in Denpa Kyoushi. Even Japanese people agree that she's horrible.
Which of the Nogizaka girls was it that's a huge fan of Ono Daisuke??

hmm... dunno, I've notice that alot of these ''idols'' in jdramas cant act even if their life depended on it, however maybe voice acting could mask the rookieness a little bit?

I wish Ms. Matsumura-san the best of luck in her quest of becoming a seiyuu. Here's hoping she has a Plan B in case of bad luck.

While I'm not sure how good her voice acting is going to turn out, she should try anyway, but still stay an idol just in case it turns out badly or just to get more roles at a higher likelyhood.

Same here. School-Live! for the win.
Anyways, wish her the best of luck, though I hope they are as demanding on her as they usually are at selecting seiyuu.

On the contrary, while both professions are difficult, with voice acting you only have your voice to work with to portray a wide range of emotions. If someone is not good at acting on camera when you can use body language and all that, I'm not sure they'll be any good off camera using only their voice.

A very responsible answer. Knowing how tough the industry is and where she's currently at and her limitations...very logical answer, which I respect.
I think she has the right idea: Start out small with small parts and work her way up if she has success. I wish her luck!
