I quote something that caught my eye off the box of an anime series called Requiem From The Darkness:
Anime News Network.com wrote:
"Edgar Allan Poe couldn't have done any better in creating a totally warped world..."

This is off the second DVD box for the series. I'm just curious to see who here at ANN could have said that and how Geneon decided they would stick that part of a review on their release. And has other things said by ANN found their way onto boxes for our beloved hobby?

Trace Wilson, in his/her review. It's near the bottom of the first paragraph.

As for when ANN started being quoted on DVD boxes, hasn't it been happening for a while? I think I remember some hub bub about some box misquoting ANN some time ago.

Well, as I pointed out here, it seems like there aren't exactly high standards of honesty/integrity when it comes to putting quotes on DVD boxes. I guess the procedure must be something like:

*apologizes in advance*
1. Fabricate quote that praises series
2. Attribute it to a respectable anime site
3. ????
4. Profit!

[OT] Why do you need two IDs, Zalis? I can understand if someone wants to create an alter ego or suck puppet, but why a "v2" that everyone can tell?

I don't need two, but as I mentioned in the Introductions Thread, an innocent mistake caused my real account to be suddenly de-activated, though AFAIK not deleted or banned. So, this is just a temp account, and once the problem gets resolved, I won't post with it anymore.

The second volume of This Ugly Yet Beautiful World misquoted me, but I know Zac was accurately quoted on one of the volumes of Ghost Stories (the second, I think). I'm pretty sure there are other examples of the latter.
