Even though I already have Smash Bros. for the 3DS, I'm going to be getting the app just so that there'd be another 3DS controller for when my friends come over.

Here's hoping that the players have a spare 3DS in tow. All that rapid button-pressing is going to wear out the 3DS quicker, not to mention that the Circle Pad is vulnerable to excessive pressure being applied to it.

$1 is not much, but why do they have to charge for the app at all? To have any use for it you must have already bought their game and hardware.

This is the company that decided charging LPers and reviewers to showcase their games was a good idea when everybody else had already decided they shouldn't. This is the company that, when a developer suggested they do something like XBox Live, had to ask what the hell that was. Nintendo lives in their own little world and if they decide that charging to use your $200 gameboy for your $60 game makes sense, they will. Because they're Nintendo.
