though it wasnt perfect , i liked this series as well as angelic days. they were the best of the spinoffs with the campus apocalypse as the worst.
kinda surprised that the raising project never got an anime series while angelic days got a 12 ep OVA.

Angelic Days had an OVA? If true, where can I look that up?
Also, can't agree about Campus Apocalypse. Although the narrative got choppy in places, it was overall a kick-ass alternative world spin-off
It's almost a miracle that a manga like Shinji Ikari Raising Project with absolutely no soul lasted as long as it did. Seriously, with all of its pointless "narrative" BS and tasteless-level fanservice, it had no justifiable substance that held it the whole way, unless you're an Evangelion fan with low standards.
The only reason people hated Angelic Days, I swear, was the rough artwork. Yes, the artwork was rough, but once I got into the story I stopped noticing, because that was how good it was. And yet for too many people they just didn't look past the surface and that alone made everything "terrible" without giving it an actual chance. The beauty of Angelic Days was that it had a character-focused story that cut to the point and centered on themes that made everything work and come full circle--never in a million years would I say the same for Shinji Ikari Raising Project, which had a beautiful surface but nothing to offer underneath. It is my sincerest hope someone license-rescues Angelic Days so people could give it a second chance and find out how misplaced the hate is, especially after Raising Project.

Campus Apocalypse(5/10) was readable for at least a bit.
The Shinji Ikari Raising Project(3/10) is not. It is now longer then the real manga''.

I liked both "The Shinji Ikari Raising Project" and "Angelic Days." They were both fun mixtures of both romantic comedy and science fiction. And,they weren't as dark and gloomy as the original "Evangelion" was.

Yeah, the artwork did make Angelic Days mostly unreadable to me. Raising Project is much better due to the art and a superior Rei. She better win this time or I'll be mad.

No such thing exists. There is a video game, though.

Thanks to Rebuild 3.33, the manga spinoffs are no longer the shame of the franchise.

I tried to get into Shinji Ikari Project, but I found it too drawn out. Even though Angelic Days had worse artwork, the shorter length benefitted the story. Admittedly I stopped reading Shinj Ikari Project at volume 7, so maybe it got better.

Somehow I seriously doubt that. If there was any real story at all that cut to any kind of point, it may not have been until literally the last volume.

i am afraid it does. ADV Films released those 12 eps back when they had the license for the original eva series.

Which is the reason why the raising project has like up to 17 volumes now and angelic days got an anime version. though i liked angelic days more since it was more of a comedy just like what full metal panic fomoufou was for the original FMP series.
however there is a reason why the raising project is this popular as well which is why i can see the possibility of the series possibly getting a TV series in the late future.

they didn't. though not all of them. only the shinki ikari raising project and angelic days was very popular. the only one that derailed hard was campus apocalypse which was not bad, but not good idea.

Sorry, but he's right. No such adaptation of Angelic Days exists. Look it up, you won't find anything.
Movies aside, the only Eva anime series that exist are the original TV series and the 24-ep Petit Eva ONA series, which was never licensed.

ah i didn't came out of a decade coma.
ADV Films when they were releasing mangas as well did released a manga version of Angelic Days. the same with a 12 ep series. i know its been over ten years now since that happened so some people might not remembered it,but i'm sure most eva fanatics who both like and despises spinoffs like ,the shinji ikari raising project and campus apocalypse knows about that attempt on a comedy spin of the series which however had mixed results.
