I get the feeling that this will be one of these mangas, where the protagonist ends up with no one. Although I really hope that Narumi will be Jun's chosen one.

An advantage of having an open ending (Kishi, take notes) is that you let your fans interpret which shipping they wanted and not necessarily disappoint fans who wanted another shipping to occur.

I actually like it better when the protagonist ends up with someone, even if it isn't the one I hoped for. Still better than wondering who he/she would have chosen.

Fans do that anyway; Take a stand and conclude it.

The only advantage to open endings is that the author can waffle for future interviews; "Yes, you are 100% correct. He ultimately choose his dog." or that old classic "It means whatever you want it to mean."

I prefer it when the protagonist ends up with the lead or secondary lead female. Since NaruSaku didn't happen, hopefully Natsu/Lucy happens.
